The series takes place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, six years before the events of Breaking Bad. Jimmy McGill, a struggling lawyer, is trying to make a name for himself. He works alongside his brother Chuck (Michael McKean) and their friend Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) at their law firm. However, Jimmy's life takes a dramatic turn when he meets Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a mysterious and intriguing character who becomes a key player in his life.
