The second season revolves around Dr. Karl Malus (David Tennant), the creator of the super-soldier serum that gave Jessica her powers. Malus escapes from the Raft and sets out to find Jessica, intent on experimenting on her again. Meanwhile, Jessica's life is turned upside down as she tries to navigate her relationships and her business, all while dealing with the aftermath of her encounter with Kilgrave (David Burke).
