The movie follows Arlo, a young Apatosaurus who forms an unlikely bond with a human boy, Spot. After a terrifying encounter, Arlo finds himself swept away by a river and separated from his family. Spot, with his primitive yet kind heart, joins Arlo on an epic journey to find their way back home. Along the way, they face treacherous landscapes, hungry predators, and harsh weather conditions.
